What to Expect During Your First Sani IQ Visit

The short version: a licensed technician arrives in a marked Sani IQ truck within your confirmed window, inspects first ($95 — credited in full the moment you book treatment), explains what they found in plain language with a firm price, and treats the same visit in most cases. Before we arrive

You’ll get confirmation of your appointment window. Our technicians are employed by Sani IQ — licensed under the Ontario Pesticides Act, background-checked, never subcontractors — and arrive in marked vehicles, so you know exactly who is at your door.

Step 1 — The inspection ($95, credited when you book)

Every job starts with an inspection because treating without diagnosing is guessing with your money. Depending on the issue, your technician inspects inside (kitchens, basements, attics, the rooms where you’ve seen evidence) and outside (foundation, vents, utility entries, garage seals, eaves). Tell them everything — sounds, sightings, timing. It all shortens the hunt.

Step 2 — Findings and a firm price, before any work

You’ll get a plain-language explanation of what’s happening, how bad it actually is (sometimes the honest answer is “less bad than you feared”), and exactly what treatment involves — with the price confirmed before anything starts. Our prices are published: wasp nest removal $247, one-time mice or ant treatment from $345, general insect control from $395. The $95 inspection is credited in full against whatever you book. If you’d rather think it over, that’s fine — the inspection findings are yours either way.

Step 3 — Treatment, usually same visit

Most treatments happen on the spot. Your technician tells you if anyone (including pets) needs to be out of specific areas and for how long — typically a few hours for interior work, less for exterior. We use reduced-risk, Health Canada–registered products, safe for children and pets once dry, and we explain each product before using it.

Step 4 — The walkthrough

Before leaving, you get: what was done, what to expect over the following days (often you’ll see MORE activity briefly — that’s normal), any follow-up visit timing, and what our guarantee covers. You’ll also receive documentation of the completed visit.
