How to Prepare for Your Mice Treatment
What helps most: clear access to the areas where you’ve seen evidence, and tell your technician everything — where you heard sounds, found droppings, and when it started. The inspection is detective work, and you have the clues.
Before we arrive
Clear access. We need to reach the areas mice use: under the kitchen sink, behind the stove and fridge where possible, the furnace room, basement sill plates (where the foundation meets the wood framing), and the garage walls. Move storage a foot or two away from basement and garage walls so we can inspect and place equipment along them.
Note your evidence. Jot down where you’ve seen droppings, heard scratching, or spotted a mouse, and roughly when it started. This map shortens the inspection and makes the treatment more precise.
Protect food sources. Move pantry food in gnawed-through or flimsy packaging into sealed containers. Bird seed, grass seed and pet food — the big three mouse feeders — go into metal or heavy plastic bins, especially in the garage.
Kids and pets. Nothing needs to leave the house for rodent work, but let us know about curious pets and toddlers: we use tamper-resistant, locked equipment placed out of reach, and we’ll walk you through every placement.
During the visit
Expect your technician to spend real time OUTSIDE — walking the foundation, checking utility entries, garage door seals, vents and grade-level gaps. Finding entry points is the actual job; treatment without exclusion is a subscription, not a solution. You’ll get a clear explanation of what was found, what was sealed, and what’s monitored.
After the visit
Activity typically declines over 1–3 weeks. Don’t relocate or disturb any equipment we placed. If you find a gap we should know about — or hear new activity after things went quiet — call us: our guarantee means returns within the covered window cost you nothing.
One-time treatment starts at $345; Complete Mice Protection (two visits, 60-day guarantee) is $495; and for homes near ravines, fields or construction, the Mice Protection plan covers you quarterly year-round. Every service starts with a $95 inspection, credited in full when you book treatment.
